Using the Born Haber Cycle

Well there is no point in running away from these monster cycles. Haber go at this example cycle where I point out some of the potential pit falls so you don't make mistakes. Size matters when it comes to ions, I will go through the size of ions and charge and how this alters the lattice Enthalpy of formation.

Hi Chris thank you for your videos,

Why do you times the delta change of atomisation of fluorine by 2 if you're only breaking one bond from F2---->2F please?

Hey I'm watching all your vids but I can't find AS unit 2 alcohols and their reactions. E.g secondary alcohols and ketones, if you can direct me to them, it'd be great thanks, !

When working out the born-Haber cycle for Al2O3 and we work out the atomisation energy of Oxygen, do we X the value by 3 (because we form 1 Mole x 3) or do we X the value by 3/2 (because there are 3/2 moles of O2 before we atomise)?
2 different sources have said both the opposite and I'm very confused

If this was a scenario with bond dissociation instead of atomisation, would it be 1/2 F2 forming 1F ? This has been confusing me all year, thankyou or your videos!!!

Hi, I used a different method and got +940kJmol-1. Then using the value to make sure all the numbers = enthalpy of formation and it worked. So I'm not sure which method to use?
