Seven years later, and I still have the same criticism on Gnome 3.

I started my Linux adventure with Ubuntu 7.10, and upgrading to Ubuntu 10.04 which was the NICEST operating system that I have EVER used.

It came with Gnome 2, which was just great.

Gnome 3 is rubbish. Thankfully, the Shell Extentions make Gnome 3 work more like Gnome 2 (though it is not perfect).

Some of the explanations for removed options in Gnome 3 are just total cow dung. The Gnome 3 devs are as bad as Microsoft: they have their own idea in mind, and we as a user can just-go-to-hell (read: swith to another system).

That is not nice of them (both of the Gnome 3 devs, and of Microsoft). It is thanks to US that they exists, so the LEAST they should do is LISTEN to us, the users.
