When our son was just a few days old, we found our cat curled up next to him in his bassinet, both comfortably sleeping. Our son and he were best friends for the next 20 years. Kinder the cat was a good little friend and companion. We were fortunate to have him with us for so many years. It’s good to teach children to love and respect animals.

Being a cat owner I can tell they have a mind of their own. For example my cat doesn't like people to watch him while he is eating. He will walk away and then won't return and resume eating until he is sure no one is watching him. Also sometimes he is very affectionate and sometimes he is standoffish and hides for hours at a time and I have to go around the apartment looking for him!
