India should take this opportunity of sourcing Titanium and Nickel alloys from Russia as we did with Russian Oil.

Problem is not few months delay of tejas mk1a delivery. Problem is can Tejas fight against J20? China will have 1000 J20 by 2024 and in next 3-5 years also 500+?? Problem is India has no concrete plan to buy Rafale or better than Rafale

Western Media : Russia doesn't have the metallurgical technology to make advenced engines.
also them : Russia has stopped supplying us Nickel-Titanium alloys ; we cant manufacture aircraft engines without them.

India has the 3rd largest Titanium reserves in the world, about half that of China, and 11% of all global reserves. However India does not mine and produce it in enough quantity locally. DRDO already has developed tech to produce titanium sponge from ore in 2011, and there are a few companies that produce it in very small quantities. Its time to scale that up big time!

This was the reason why Mig 35 with complete ToT under MRFA would be the most benificial to us despite it's lacklusture export performance. There would be almost no issues with it's mass production be it raw materials and engine and we could've easily integrated our indeginously developed technologies like AESA radar, RWR, Jamming pods, missiles, etc.

India industries can explore the opportunity to supply critical titanium parts by transfer of technology by French and supply of titanium and titanium alloy from Russy.

This is not a problem at all. The moment you place order and release 30 percent advance your intended job is done. We may wait endlessly for delivery it hardly matters.

We should spent more money to develope indigenous technologies.
Relying on other countries for fighter jets and other defence equipments can create problem for India in upcoming times.

Bharat. Sarkar ko hum sab pressure lagaana chahiye, taaki M414 Engine dheere se HAL ko General Electric ne delivery.
Pehle, ye deal ke sambandh, Paper work, yaani offical document work jyaada speed mei hona chahiye.
Ek baar Government to Government vyavahar teji se hona chahiye.

If problem with engine is global and choke point in Russia. Why not put kaveri in mission mode, Russia se titanium to India ko modiji dila he denge. Ye hojayegi 1 teer se 2 shikar wali bat

this is why we need Aatmanirbhar Bharat
every foreign supplier, whether friendly like France or frenemy like US will do whatever they like and not bother to stick to contract...because kya ukhad loge. also, we have to understand, because of these supply chain issues and delays, any supplier will prioritize domestic orders and exports will not get priority, so this can become a major delay
not to ignore the china angle and sabotage attempt on Bharat by choking Titanium to Dassault

India should buy more su30MKI and Tejas mk1 to maintain its depleting fleet till the other fighter jets mass production don't start and then we could sell or retire the extra su30MKI and Tejas mk1 to other countries which are willing to buy second hand fighter plane 😊😊😊

Only sensible option seems to be restarting Su30 MKI production but this time with super sukhoi upgrades. 126 (7 sqn) more su30 MKI at Super sukhoi standard will certainly go a long way.

Under this circumstance as Russia produce Titanium alloy, it will be better to go with SU 57(a fifth gen fighter - better than Rafale), also we will get it quickly as cuurently no country will buy this jet, but there is a fear of US sanction !
