As much as there is pressure to get a new speaker, it is more important and productive in the long run to have a house speaker who can work across party lines. Having a few weeks without a speaker is bad, but having a torn House paralyzed by lack of bipartisan cooperation would be lethal for years.

How can someone like Jim Jordan even be nominated for Speaker of the House? The man has ignored a subpoena to appear before a grand jury. There is evidence he may have participated in the insurrection. He is not qualified to be speaker. Bring in a level headed person, not a MAGAt. .
