Confusing hunger for thirst is it a thing? Do we really not know the difference between being hungry and thirsty? That just doesn't make any sense to me. I reached out to a research expert on the topic to try and get to the bottom of it.

But I feel it’s dependent on a physical and sign or cue living alone also is al distraction as is good I’m a chef and I have erratic food patterns

Interesting video. I’m a personal trainer in Uk and over the past 20 years have met many people struggling with overweight or obesity issues. I never felt that the uk standards for pt’s in the Uk truly gave us the credentials to advise on weight loss. I’ve recently completed the Precision nutrition Level 1 nutrition coach qualification as It appeared to offer more in-depth knowledge to empower me to help clients in the future and although I feel it’s a good course I still feel I know a tiny amount of what’s out there. I struggle with the truth that even with the high amount of incredibly knowledgable people out there we still have a high amount of people with obesity in the affluent and developed world. I am a strong believer in emotion being a massive factor in this situation. Do you have any suggested and respected authors on the subject or valid YouTube creators I could look at to both further educate and frustrate me further?🙂

I have been in situations where food wasn't readily available. This was for a few years. Two different times. When I was hungry, I drank water. 3 to 5 cups would make it so I could sleep and not be focused on how hungry I was.

After reading what I wrote it may come across as I was starved. That wasn't the case. It was a case where I did not have food that was very filling and my calorie intake was limited due to there not being extra food.

Drinking water always tided me over til the next meal.

I have been starved a few times in my life . In retrospect I didn't try drinking water or fluid to chase away the hunger so can't use that as example. By starved, I mean that there was no food for more then a day or two at a time.

Not a doctor or anything close. Just my experience. For all I know if was just me convincing myself of the water filling me and it working due to someone telling me to drink water when hungry. I wasn't doing i to lose weight or to avoid eating, I am borderline underweight, due to high metabolism.
