Incorrect info in the video, these speakers will not be twice as loud as a 89dB speaker. It will take twice as much power for the 89dB speaker to play as loud as the 92dB speaker. With every doubling of wattage one gains 3 more dB's of output, assuming the speaker can handle the extra power.

Be careful not to confuse electrical dB (decibels) with acoustic dB. In an electrical circuit, 3dB is theoretically double the energy, not a doubling of the SPL or volume. 3dB is roughly an increase by a factor of 1.4. In an acoustic setting, 3dB is perceived as about 12% louder because the human ear is not a linear device, but a logarithmic one. Because it’s subjective, most sound engineers generally consider 10dB to be twice as loud. Further, it takes about 10 times the amplifier, from 100 to 1000 watts of power to play twice as loud at the same efficiency (reference point being 89dB) and inversely, 3 times the efficiency or close to 99dB with the power at 100 watts to equal that of a 1000 watt amplifier on a speaker at 89dB. A 3dB increase in efficiency is nowhere near a doubling of the perceived volume. Granted, any imporvment in efficiency is better as long as the power handeling isn't the offset. Uusally, one comes at the cost of the other, when both are present, the price usually goes up. These are great sounding and performing speakers. I would put them up there with any of the Focal Access line and they are half the price.

Installed these today in my 2007 Honda Civic. Paired them with the NVX VAD11005 Amp. They sound great but the tweeters are too deep. I had to cut my stock tweeter grills to inset the tweeters and the speaker lip still sits slightly above the grill. Wicked pisser. The woofer housing was a bit wide as well, so I had to modify my adapter. Just beware that these speakers are large for what they are. You get what you pay for I guess?

HELPP!!! Im trying to use a multimeter to tune my sub at 1ohm but im not sure if the W×R than square root= voltage works at 1ohm like it does 2 and 4, please help
