''no way that a $200 skin in League can be fully 10x better than a $20 skin''
I imagine how hard they were laughing while typing this knowing they made a $200 chroma

Riot is taking notes from the diamond industry and trying to create artificial scarcity. Literally the only thing making these skins rare is the exorbitant price point that only the biggest whales and/or one-tricks will bite on.

I was not expecting to see a comment of myself in a Ryscu video but ayeeee!

I like how your character is looking down at their notes

Lets not kid ourselves. Only like 1% of the money from these skins goes to arcane. The rest goes straight into the CEOs pockets for his 200th yaht

If idiots want to spend 200 dollars on a skin, let them.

The only sad thing is that people buy every skin of certain champions for the sake of their collection. If they can't afford 200$ on a skin, they won't collect skins anymore.

1. Release a 200$ chroma
2. Ignore the community, say the 'experiment' was successful and that you will continue to do it (only if the earned money was an experiment aswell)
3. Release more 200$ content
4. Kinda make an apology, kinda
5. Keep the money anyway

6. Repeat as the community trusts you for the 100th time

Also I saw PAX skins in mythic shop a few weeks ago on Live

What kind of corporate strategy to only apologize when a mistake is 3 months old?

You don't know how hard I popped off when I saw Ori Syndra and Yone on the chopping block

Honestly, I'd have found it more reasonable if they locked the Mythic Variant behind Mythic Essence, but for Mastery 7 Jhin players (or even Mastery 6). That way, people are investing time, not money, and the players most likely to be hype for that kinda skin would be best suited to grab it. (Jhin mains/otps) but I do think it needed some actual work done to it. Just a recolour/chroma isn't enough for something that exclusive. Even just stuff like a unique mastery emote for Jhin, or something like that.

Hell, maybe just release it in the Mythic Shop as something that requires mythic essence *and* blue/orange essence, idk.

I got the jhin chroma for 10 bucks, so yay for me, I guess, but even if I'm a jhin main The chromas just isn't worth what I paid, let alone 200 dollars. It's not even good lol. I wished they had changed the animation of the 4th shot or something, the colors are bleak and it looks bad ingame

some compagnies forget sometimes that making low price mean sell lot more and high price sold less

"hwei and Hwarwick." Not even sure if intentional but that pronunciation of Warwick made me laugh.

Ah yes, visual clarity. Dragonmancer Lee sin, Dawnbringer Yone, and many other skins would like to have a word with the devs.

Riot seems to embrace the business tactic of releasing content that's has short time period to acquire. I hate FOMO used in game contents and League used to do a good job by adding the Hextech crafting, giving you options to get the skins. But at the same time lately they have been cutting content around borders and chromas in events which is extremely shitty thing to do

Idk why tf people are complaining. If it's too expensive for you (and it is) just dont buy it lmao

I'll be real. I'm so confused by people being SO mad about the Jhin skin not looking good when that was really obviously the point. It's just for people with too much money to show that they have too much money. That was it.

I have no problem with a "rare" skin but that 200$ "skin" was just lazy

Since when is Vel'Koz's E that big? My boy finally getting a bit of love is very nice to see.

Suppose that Riot made a 1000$ chroma for a champion that is exactly the same as base but has a different eye color. Would any normal person buy that? No, they wouldn't. What's the point in arguing over the price, if the only thing you need to do is ignore it? There are plenty of good affordable skins available. This mythic chroma is targeted at whales. 99% of us aren't whales, and thus shouldn't worry about that 200$ skin. Now, for instance when they try to adjust the RP per $ amount, essentially making everything more expensive, then is the moment to start boycotting and arguing with Riot.
