LIVE: Indian Olympic Contingent Meets President Droupadi Murmu | Paris Olympics 2024

India’s contingent, including the nation’s medal winners from the recently-concluded Paris Olympics, will arrived in New Delhi today morning from the French capital. The names of the athletes who are arriving in Delhi have not been revealed. The Indian contingent is now meeting President Droupadi Murmu over high tea, and on Thursday (15 August), the athletes will attend the Independence Day celebration at Red Fort in the national capital. On Thursday afternoon at 1 pm, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host the contingent at his residence in New Delhi. India won six medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including five bronze and one silver. Shooter Manu Bhaker made history by becoming the first Indian from independent India to win two medals at an Olympics, as she won bronze in women’s 10m Air Pistol and the Mixed Team 10m Air Pistol events.
