Hyperthreading is totally different from overclocking. Basically, hyperthreading makes single core sort-of act like two. So instead of doing 1 instruction per clock cycle it can do 2 instructions. It's only really useful if the programs you use can take advantage of the extra threads though or your multitasking.

Yes, 4 physical cores and 4 virtual cores (Hyperthreading)

As in air (I.E. Stock fan) or liquid cooler for the processor. Typically you would get a stock fan included with the processor in the box. You pretty much always need to buy thermal paste regardless of what you get.

I purchased almost the same, I7 3820 + X79 Sabertooth + 16GB 2133MHz Ram but I have a GTX 670 FTW

The biggest issue is pretty much every motherboard seems to have problems a lot of them are just downright bad boards and it's highly likely that you will need to flash the BIOS. Also, you have to keep track of which parts are compatible more so then you would normally. For example the RAM needs to be 1.5v or less. Plus, you have to keep track of sizes carefully most heat-sinks for 2011 are large and will usually get in the way of ram and not always fit in the case. Other then that go for it.

Can you talk about how this chip performs?

hell yeah, u r supposed to buy aftermarket cooling other wise it wont make sense, most people think it sucks but acctually the thermal compud that intel include on their heasinks are very good quality. this chip is still OCable because since it have no integrated graphics, you are able to OC just like the prev gen 9xx i7s

Well, yeah you are supposed to buy aftermarket cooling with this processor. Intel kind-of expects you know what you're doing with this CPU. Though most people don't know that and get surprised there is not a stock fan in the box. As they don't usually mention it anywhere. So thought it would be useful to mention exactly what you get in the box.

You can have 64GB of RAM since the standard motherboard design for this CPU has 8 DIMM slots! It will work with 3-way SLI/Crossfire but that depends on the motherboard design obviously.

can i use the memory 1.65v with this processor ?

I got the ASUS P9X79 since it seems to have less problems then the other ones and a lot of features for the price. Pretty much every motherboard for LGA2011 has problems. If you want to use LGA2011 you should expect to deal with problems from the start.

Hey, i've recently purchased an i7 3820 with 16gb RAM, sabertooth x79 and a 660 non-ti. Would i get decent frame rates on the latest games

It's about the same as the the other high-end chip on the LGA 1155 motherboards the Intel Core i7-3770. Main difference is you have more of an upgrade path on the i7-3820. Slight problem with i7-3820 is it's kind of a pain to get a good 2011 motherboard and it's not a good build for beginners.

Yeah, 4.2 GHz should be stable. Overall the features are better on the i7-3820 and the i7-3820 has the best upgrade-path. Since, the LGA2011 socket is where all the top of the line chips will be. But, it would be very comparable to the i7-2600K or 2700K in performance. The only real problem the i7-3820 has is motherboards often don't seem to be working correctly with it for whatever reason. There is definitely the guinea pig factor with the i7-3820 that can be more hassle than it's worth.

Can you explain why i will get in trouble? haha because i am thinking built my own so why LGA2011? :s

If it's your first time building a PC I would strongly advise you to NOT get the i7-3820 or anything on LGA2011. Get the Intel Core i7-3770K. It will end up costing you less, it pretty much has the same performance, and you will have way less problems.
