I hand sew the puffs, whilst watching TV or out and about. Very therapeutic. Then use the machine to join the puffs. 💖

My mom made 8 of these in King size to give to the girls in the family. Brings back lots of good memories! Thank You!

Thank you for showing how you did the backing. I’ve seen this pattern many times but nobody ever demonstrated how to add the backing.

I hand sew everything so this would take me about twelve years to complete. But I'd still be crazy enough to try.

I am going to make a crate mattress for my dog out of one of these. Never quilted before, may be a disaster, but should be a fun adventure lol

I think it would be cool to make chair cushions with this technique.

This is my first sewing project so I decided to go small. I decided on making a mini puff quilt for my dog in light blue and it wasn’t until I put it on my dog that I realised that it looked like I bubble wrapped him. I could not be happier with the outcome, THANK YOU!

i made one of these several years ago that is queen sized. the only difference is that i stuffed those little squares like i was stuffing a turkey! yeah it made it harder to sew, but oh my goodness it is like sleeping on clouds lol if you over stuff, hand stitch is my advice lol

These men are brilliant. They just crack on giving no nonsense advice. Straight and to the point. Fantastic.

This looks so comfy! Now that I'm into the colder months where I live making a puff quilt with some dense fiber and making it with flannel sounds diving! Thanks for the inspiration and your little red quilt was so cute!

My mom made a blanket like this for my daughter when she was born. She just turned 2 and still loves it!

This video is wonderful and so is the host! Years ago, I dabbled in quilting. I made a few baby and children's quilts in simple patterns and machine quilted them. I love the look of the puffy quilts but knew I wasn't good enough to attempt anything too complicated. Thanks to the clear explanations and demonstrations provided by this video, I think I just might attempt my first quilt in years. And BTW I'm happy to be a new subscriber. The YouTube algorithm suggested this to me and it's kind of eerie that it got something totally right!

Now I know what to do with all my scrap fabric! This is perfect, thank you.

Lovely quilt, liked the one on the wall too. In a way it is a great beginner project, straight seams, a bit of pleating. But then the 'fun' starts, getting the filling into these small pillows without putting in too much, or too little. I have made this quilt long time ago, and it is a lovely cover o the bed in the wintertime when it is cold here in Norway.

With right sides together, once you have 3 sides done, at this point if you turn your fabric inside out you won't have to worry about a backing. Just close the one end of the poof by folding in the raw edges.
