Walking in DUBLIN / Ireland 🇮🇪- 4K 60fps (UHD)

Dublin is the is the capital city of the Republic of Ireland. With many attractions, a big airport the city is the main tourist destination of the country.

We start our evening walk at the "The Spire", a 120m high steel pin on O'Connell Street near the old post office.

We walk North towards Parnell St and back to the shopping area via Moore St. Along Henry St are many shops yet our destination after the newer area of Dublin is the Temple Bar on the other side of the Liffey River at around 13:30.

We cross over to the Temple Bar district via the pedestrian Ha'penny Bridge and now see the colorful Dublin pubs and restaurants the city is famous for.

We check out several streets in and around Temple Bar the Dublin vibe before we end the walk back on O'Connell Street.

Dublin has a very cold and sad weather, and despite its rather provincial, small-town and gloomy look, is a pleasant and lively city.

I'm a Dubliner, I lived around different places in my time but I have to say that spire is the most meaningless trash, deliberately chosen so as not to put up a historical figure from our history, our history of struggle for independence. Instead of entering into a debate as to what should have replaced the British colonial monument which once stood there, they imposed this meaningless spike with no aesthetic quality or value and representing absolutely nothing. A monument to subservient mediocrities afraid to invoke our revolutionary history. It really should be removed.

In April of 2018, I flew Air Lingus to Dublin on my way to Italy. AL is a fantastic airline. I was treated like a human being and upon arriving in Dublin, there was such a positive energy about the city blessed with temps in the mid-70s and blue skies. The perfect start to a fantastic vacation.
