In this video we show you How to fix OIL SPILL IN BILGE! Mercruiser BRAVO 3 Outdrive LUBE LEAK! Our Mercruiser Bravo 3 Outdrive oil Alarm went off, and found that our outdrive oil reservoir was empty. As we checked from where the oil spill was coming from, we find that the hose feeding the outdrive oil from the oil reservoir was loose and leaking outdrive oil into the bilge. This is just a little information tutorial on what to look for and how to remedy the problem. Thanks for watching! Peace!

This video can save you from problems with your outdrive lube reservoir and hoses to the outdrive transom connection. We found ours to be loose and leaking lube oil into the bilge, so if you have your lube oil alarm going off because its low. First thing to check is leaks in your outdrive, and outdrive prop seals. If there's no leaks in the outdrive, then look for leaks in your bilge. Hope this video helps avoid a bigger problem in the future. Thanks for watching! Peace!

Thanks for this video! I have the beep from hell, and pretty sure the float is stuck in my reservoir…. When one wire is disconnected to it, the beep is gone! Gonna clean it up, and see where I’m at after that. I appreciate the efforts in your video to educate people like myself! Rock on brother!

Thank you for explaining that there was gunk in the reservoir. That was my issue. I was curious about it. I cleaned it out, but anyhow, that was helpful.

Outdrives can also leak gear oil into the drive shaft bellows if the input shaft seal goes bad. If your fluid level keeps droping and you don't see anything in water or bilge that's what it could be.

The outdrive is to be filled from the bottom to remove any air pockets in the outdrive system. Hope you didn’t do any damage.

Was the Gear Lube/Oil being forced out of the Bilge compartment hose and/or reservoir from the pressure taking in Water?
That's my issue.
