Oh my word. I have wasted far too many candles that could have been melted down and reused.
No more shall that be happening. So happy to have found you. Thank you for sharing all this sound advice. 🙏💕

Lovely videos, thank you. I pop my used glass containers into the oven (when I've had it on for something else) .The heat not only dissolves all the wax but also the glue that sometimes sticks those little metal wick holders to the bottom so firmly that it cannot otherwise be removed. Then I can tip out the excess wax and give them a quick wipe with a multi fibre cloth and some hot water and there you go. No disposable wipe required. Multifibre is no word for wear either.

When I melt my candles, I get a pan of water and put the wax in tin cans. Then place the cans in the pan of water to melt. I have multi color candles. I pour the wax in plastic bottles, slit it and peal it away. Some plastic bottles have different texture gives another look..

I have made my own candles from leftover candles, soy & beeswax about 3 times. I did learn some new tips from you that I will use the next time. Thank you 🕯

I've been "saving" wax for a few months (always work with a candle beside me) and bought some wicks on my last visit to Dublin. Your video got me motivated and I just made four lovely off-white candles. Easy peasy. I stuck my tooth picks together with cellotape and have saved them for next time with the wicks. Still lots of red wax left for next time. Cheers

This is a great way to use up old wax and the occasional candle with defective wick. It’s a good idea to keep wax separate-beeswax or other wax—I don’t mix the waxes. This is also a great way to repurpose glass jars, mugs, etc.

I have learned SO MUCH from you, I kid you not. If I own my own home in the future, I want to make it just like yours! :D

Thank you for the idea for using the TWO wooden w/ bands. Also, going forward I won’t need the sticky glue tabs for the bottom of the candle.

Great idea! Going to try that!! I love the left over jars, and I have put cut vinyl designs on outsides giving them a new look!

I just made a candle from old candles! I burnt my fingers and got wax all over the kitchen and ruined the sink...but I made one!
