The x and y axis requires you to move it three times back and forth. The z axis only requires one time make sure to run calibrations afterwards.

Thumbs up for quick and clear video I watched another video which was 25 minutes long and was only about tightening the x axis and he didn’t even mention having to move the X axis back and forth 3 times

I get random layer shifts too! I noticed that the hotend had a lot of build up on it and removed the sock cleaned out the hotend and then it worked for a bit and bam layer shift. I just ordered new belts to replace the ones on my machine thinking the belts are slipping. I figured that I would try and re-tension the belts and give that a go, which is how I found your video. Thanks for sharing your video :) Let us know if you find that solution to your layer shift issue, good luck!

Nice quick vid, thank you.
Also DO NOT USE WD-40. It is not a true lubricant. As a cnc machinist by trade I only recommend LPS 👍

I have just unboxed and set my new A1 up (17/04/2025). It immediately failed calibration tests. I ended up have to retension all 3 belts before I could even think about printing. Not at all what I'd expect from a factory fresh machine. I'm glad I got the Mini first, apart from lubricating the rails it has been a printing dream. I only hope the A1 will do likewise, after the teething troubles.

Where did you add tension to the belts? - I must have missed it, you loosen the screws, and move the item (plate, head, etc) 3 times and then tighten the screws.... what part of that tightened the belt? - thanks!

dude WTF is WRONG with your printbed? did you put acid on it? but getting back on tensioning the belts... i wonder if this really helps... i know its in their manual seems like its spring load/tensioned but the belt just feel the same like before it was "tensioned". i rather had just a screw to tension it by hand.

Ever clean your printer that bed looks like it has been through a WAR! The Bambu Lab instructions say DO NOT USE WD-40!

WD 40 isnt a lubricant, its a WATER DISPLACER, good if you want to clean the old grease off and leave bare metal. Its also good at removing stickers, bad at doing much else.

Yes looking forward to A1 Mini explanation. I'm having some z lines that I can't figure out on it.

Wd40 is a cleaner, you use wd40 to clean the rails and then lube after, with lubricant. Not wd40

That didn't explain anything about tensioning belts FFS
