Far Cry Primal – PC vs. PS4 vs. Xbox One Graphics Comparison

We compare the graphics of Far Cry Primal on PC PS4 and Xbox One – please note that we used the press review version for PC with the latest patch (ca. 900 MB, 1.1.0). There might be some minor bugs, such as draw distance problems which could be patched when the game is released. An overview of the graphics options on PC can be found at the end of the video. Nividia Hairworks wasn't included as fur option, which is surprising since it available in Far Cry 4 together with other Nvidia GameWorks options.

I apologize for the bad quality of the first scene (day-night-cycle). The YouTube codec has problems with fast movements, the speed of this scene was 8000%. I will try a better codec next time, I hope this will reduce artifacts.

I tested the PS4 version today and the graphics was superb. So much atmosphere and life. But with so much details and foliage it becomes a big problem (at least for me) with horisontal camera movement. There is allot of distortion since the frame rate is around 30. I wish they had implemented/better motion blur effects. Because the game is kinda hard on the eyes atm on PS4.

but the only thing that never gets shown in a comparison is how smooth PC game play is. Having a game maxed with a solid 60fps at resolutions higher than possible on console is what made me switch and is what makes the PC shine above the rest. I still love my ps4 though

I've got a fairly decent gaming PC and I'm pleased to see the consoles getting a good solid picture too. Minimal quality differences (aside from the FPS), looks good on all devices. I really like this game too so it's good to see everyone is getting a good experience :D

They obviously design for console. There isn't an ounce of effort put into the PC version. These graphics look subpar compared to other big games from the past few years.
