This is very similar or the same as Bells Palsy, which I currently have myself. It takes a about 2 months or so for everything to return back to normal. Facial massages & acupuncture & meds help. B12 vitamins & any herbal remedies may all aid in the healing process. The nerve pain in & behind the ear & base of head on affected side can be excruciatingly painful. I have been intermittently sleep deprived because of the pain & it sometimes hurts worse when I lay down. So I sleep sitting up & propped up with pillows. Because of the facial paralysis, it is a bit hard to eat & drink, I have to use eye drops to moisten the eye that doesn't close well & my smile is crooked. It truly sucks!! So I sympathize with Justin & pray that he gets well soon. Hang in there Justin!! I'm trying to as well. Different reasons why people get a partial facial paralysis it's not forever. Every disease starts with stress. Tape your eye shut when you go to sleep. You gotta destress, everything is neurological. Take it easy get a lot of rest along with any medication. You can restrengthen the muscle 💪 in your face. Trust me
