You also forget to mention JJ tends to not look at her opponents when she exchanging punches.

But you cannot say that because you are not a fighter or a trailer trainer

weili likes to move forward & can brawl. shevchenko & Rose are higher caliber & more technical defensive strikers than Weili. but, agreed, that JJ is the under dog here. Joanna does need to become a better counter striker. she does rely too much on the hard reset, moving quickly in & out, but it did not help her with Rose or Shevchenko. i hope Joanna is working hard & adding to her arsenal, otherwise, she may be done in the Straw weight division. JJ's predictable strategy of moving in quick to deliver quick combinations to score points won't be enough to snatch the belt from the current champ. she will need more. i love Weili, but I must admit that having Joanna become "Queen of the Straw Weights" again would be a guilty pleasure.

I notice Jessica has a high nose bridge and prominent jaw. Sorry, in a fight, there is no fair fight. Zhang should use her elbow on those weak spot.

If joanna fights how she did vs michelle I think she wins. Worried she could get clipped again tho like vs rose.

I suggest looking at Zhang Weili vs Maira De Souza, it seemed clear to me in that fight that Weili is far more similar to Andrade than I originally thought. Zhang doesn't move her head when she's actually aiming to close distance, she doesn't try to get out of the way of the opponent's offense, and she just starts swinging full-power every time she gets into brawling range. Zhang got eaten up by a jab and had to resort to grappling, and i'd now say I definitely think her grappling is far more dangerous than her striking is. I also felt that Weili was incredibly easy to predict in that fight, all of her shots were very telegraphed and she was inaccurate anytime she was outside of clinching range. I can see Weili swinging for the fences very early, gassing herself out, getting eaten up by a jab, and slowly having the fight drained out of her because I don't see her matching Joanna's cardio to any extent. I'd go as far as to predict that if Weili doesn't drag Joanna down that she's not going to win a round. Weili is highly dangerous in the opening minute of the first round, if she can't make something happen then, then I see Joanna slowly taking over more and more. Crazy knockouts can happen, especially with Weili's power in a straight up brawl, but aside from that I don't see her winning and I see her chances decreasing more and more as the fight goes on.
I also think that if this fight took place at Flyweight Joanna would have an even bigger advantage than I feel she already has. Joanna's weight cut is the biggest factor here for me, if she comes in feeling awful and gets clipped too many times up-close she could get finished. On a technical level I don't see a problem for Joanna in the striking and everybody knows her takedown defense is no joke so this is really going to be a massive test for Weili.
I'd expect to see a fight which looks like Andrade vs Jedrzejczyk but with a somewhat more competent brawler - I don't think Joanna will quite as easily embarrass her, but I expect her to consistently out-point her if it stays standing.

As I've said in other posts, this will NOT be an EASY fight for JJ, however, I believe she CAN win, but her winning won't be as easy as Zhang winning !!! Technical aspects aside, we must all remember the "politics" of JUDGING !!! If Zhang simply takes JJ down several times, doesn't bother to submit her and trades punches for 25 min., ZHANG WILL WIN !!! Why ?? BECAUSE IN WOMEN'S UFC, NO BELT HAS EVER CHANGED HANDS BY DECISION, EVER !!! So when Val won the FW strap, neither fighter owned the belt, it was an "open" title !!! This is how JJ won most of her title fights !!! Only the first two, her taking the strap from Esparza (TKO) and her beatdown of Penne (TKO) WERE DECIDED BY A FINISH !!! This (IMHO), has just as much to do with who wins as does ability !!! THIS is what JJ must overcome !! Let's face it, she is no KO artist !!! As amazing as her TD/ SUB defense is, she's unlikely to submit Zhang or anyone else in the UFC !!! This leaves only two viable options: 1) find a TKO, somewhere, whenever she can, OR: 2) not only OUTLAST Zhang, but do LOTS of damage over 25 minutes ! Is that possible ??? NO ONE KNOWS !!! I surely don't, but WE KNOW LITTLE ABOUT ZHANG, HER CARDIO, HOW SHE REACTS TO DAMAGE OR PRESSURE, WHAT HER FIGHT IQ IS !!! She is, to me anyway, an unknown !!! Her past victories outside the UFC may be of little help, as we know NOTHING of her opponents !!! Her opponents in the UFC, while MUCH BETTER, were NOT CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER, IMO !!! Good, even excellent fighters, you bet !!! One may bring up Andrade !! I like Jessica, she's fun to watch, but again, IMO, she was AN ACCIDENTAL CHAMP !!! Rose was LIGHTING HER UP, when she got careless and got caught !! Rose admitted as much in an interview !!! ANDRADE HAD NO BUSINESS BEATING ROSE !!!

I look at Zhang beating Andrade as beating herself, i.e. a sort of mirror image, but a lot better !! Still, the constant forward motion style is no assurance of victory !! Dominick Cruz defeated this style often, as did JJ against Andrade !!! She (JJ) shouldn't approach Zhang as Andrade, of course, they're different people/ fighters, but the Andrade "style" can and has been defeated !!

IMHO (I'm neither a fighter or coach, just an observer/ student), if JJ want's to win, she must do the following !!! Go for Zhang's legs, HARD !!! Far as I know, Zhang is not a Muay Thai person !!! If she slows her down enough, this will negate her momentum !!! Next, FIGHT AS FILTHY IN THE CLINCH AS ALLOWED BY THE URMMA !!! Make Zhang pay, FOR EVERYTHING !! JJ is decent at this !!! She also has a height advantage, she MUST USE IT !!! Slamming those elbows into the SIDE (LEGAL) of Zhangs head should get her attention !!! If I were JJ coaches, I'd advise the REF about Zhangs ILLEGAL USE OF ELBOWS IN THE ANDRADE FIGHT !!! Gotta play fair !!! I could go on, but I think you get my point !!! The ANOINTING of Zhang is, IMHO, premature !!! We will see
