CS GO - Derank after a win

probably somebody who you played with in the past was cheating, so it took away the elo you won that game, it happened to me already

For anyone watching this in 2023 what happened is he queued with someone who was cheating prior to this game and they were banned, causing him to lose any elo he gained while playing with them.

i remember one time then i get ranked up in loss game being silver 2 in match with supremes :D

you got kicked from the last game and got the derank from there, happened to me multiple times

I once ranked up on a cancelled match when one of the enemies didn't get in lmao

I was playing wingmans with my friend, we had 25 wins in a row, no rank up, then we lost 2 games and deranked from lem to le

If this happens, there's a high chance it's because you have played with (not in your party necessarily) cheaters, they got banned, and you lost the ELO, but your rank had yet to be updated.
Same shit if you rank up on a loss.

Happened to me. Got into a game and got kicked instantly by a 4 stack, went on to my next game. While in my next game the 4 that kicked me lost their game, so even though I won my second game I had already deranked from the game before. (When you get kicked/banned from a match you still get the +/- elo when it finishes)

i remember deranking in wingman after i carried 9-4 score and still deranked XD

I got unranked due to inactivity in a game, maybe this happened for you too and then you got a rank back for the win

We had a match when the whole enemy team left early match and had been replaced with one bot. We won but our bottom fragger deranked somehow

the worst thing about csgo is the rank sitem

I had two rankups in two short matches! One time bottom fragging (3 kills) round win from gn3 to gn4, and then top fragging draw from gn4 to ak1. MM ranking can be weird some times.

This ranking system made me quit in 2017, I was LEM and won 5 in a row (while being LEM), lost 1 game after the 5 win streak and deranked

We need a rank system similar to that of LoL to show you points or something like that to see how much you have until you rank, it's very annoying not knowing when you rank and when you don't....
