Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore were born to perform together. Individually they were great but together they were amazing.

You can feel that huge Bach's inspiration, Lord was a genius and a great musician. I always thought Blackmore was the mind behind this "neoclassical" style that Deep Purple created but it was Lord who really brought rock and baroque music together.

It's a pity this video doesn't include a fantastic countermelody Jon plays on the synth at 0:30. Starting at 0:40 four keyboards (!) play in superb harmony. It doesn't get better than this. RIP Big Man.

Thank you Jon. Deep Purple is a part of my youth. Saw their gig in Dortmunder Westfalenhalle in 1975 at the age of 15 together with my one year younger brother. We still have the tickets. Many greetings from Germany.

The tone in that organ is just incredible. Not all Hammonds sound the same— he definitely had a good one during the “Burn” era.

Deep Purple my first concert experience when I was 15 Jon Lord's solo was phenomenal actually saw them twice seeing DP was awesome both times.
