Here’s one thing I’m pondering for RESERVISTS in the MEB.
So, if you do 20 credible years and you get 60% DOD. You can apply for both CRSC and CRDP. From my understanding.

1. Base pay( high 3) $1700 x 60% = $1, 020 monthly DOD but offsetby 100% VA disability pay. You Apply for CRSC and getting $800. So you getting 2 checks, VA and CRSC. At age 60, when you apply for retirement. The 60% goes away and you get regular 50% ( now getting less). ***CRSC will be RECALCULATED because DOD % decreases.*** but you have CRDP option for you now and DFAS choose whichever option is best for you and pay continue for life.

2. Someone who does 19 years. Can only apply for CRSC since they didn’t do 20 years. Same scenario,

Base pay( high 3) $1700 x 60% = $1, 020 monthly DOD but offset by 100% VA disability pay. Apply for CRSC and you getting $800. So you getting 2 checks, VA and CRSC. At age 60, they CAN’T apply for retirement.
**** CRSC STAY SAME because you’re not applying for retirement** and CRSC pay continue for life.

You see any errors with my logic???

just came across your video, if i may ask a question, i am Service connected for DDD and also Mental health, both are direct service connected, my back injury qualifies for CRSC, but with the direct connection they both have even though i feel my Mental health was caused by my injury should i include the Mental health in my CRSC application everything i have dealt with mentally has always been rooted in my back problems and the issues it has caused. and can i include a personal statement letter with my CRSC App?
