Couple things. I’m a pro guitar tech and here are proper relief check steps:

• Capo 1st fret (or use your left hand).
• Right thumb on 17th on D string stretch middle finger to 7th fret. Gently tap to see relief gap.

Why may you ask? D & G are within the highest level of the frets arch.

Also, sight the neck from the headstock looking down and use the fretboard edge for proper line of sight.

You’re welcome! 🎸🔥

I think a vintage colored pick guard would look awesome on that squire but i can’t wait to see you demo it when it’s finished!

Defiantly need some setup tutorials guys! Action adjustment, pickup setup, and fret work. I’m still a novice and got no one around to help me out

I’d be all too excited to watch a setup video! It’s always good to know what types of things stand out to various players/guitar tech’s.

Go for a Tortoise guard! Also do the 8 screw conversion. Classy!! Callaham makes upgrades for the bridge which will change your world. Give them a shout!!

Squier 60s Classic Vibe is using normal maple on the neck(not flamed) and yes, Indian Laurel Fingerboard, Body is using Nato wood

I hate guitar unboxing videos... unless Brian and Bradford do them.

Pretty cool box for the first guitar. Right away I could tell it was Italian. Imagine my chagrin when it was opened and it wasn't.

Hey Brian, What guitar picks are you using here? Nice video!

Gotta new guitar day on the horizon myself. A 72 deluxe RI. Ever since Fender came out with CuNiFe wide range hummy-buck pickups...I had to travel down that trail. Gonna put a bigsby and a Callaham bridge on it to. Bigsby BTW is my favorite trem. Subtle and timeless.

You gotta get a Lincoln Brewster strat! 🎸

Hilarious. You nailed the Christopher Cross "Sailing" tone. Fun stuff, Brian.

Been playing my TimeFlite GTX for well over a year now...probably my #1 guitar (it battles my GalaxyFlite for that spot!). Shelton Breeden is a gem of a builder...and I agree, Shelton necks are the best in the business!

I have a squire also and a SX stratocaster and seven other guitars

You should've bought Lincoln Brewster's signature fender strat... It ticks all (almost) the requirements you needed from the squire... Yet fender guitars are awesome!

I'm sure you meant the pickups were right on on the strat because they were low right? I mean, everybody know that a strat is only a strat if the pickups are slammed to the guard?

On a serious note, I am excited to hear the triple shots. I doubt they will win me over from Lollar Dirty Blondes, but I'll try to keep an open mind.

Gotta be mint or tort for the pickguard. It's a CV so it needs some CV!
