That was a pretty good test. I think as time goes on, you'll see consistent speeds as in this test with Pixel and OnePlus due to timely updates and light UIs/skins versus longer load times with Samsung and LG.

Lots of human error with exiting apps and such... I think the pixel could take a sec or two off for that... Although I'm some degree it's the same for all.

Hey man, nice little test going here. Not alot of these anymore since phones are for the most part pretty fluid in the day to day experience nowadays. One question though, do any of these phones have UFS 3.1 storage (Samsung) and did that make any difference? Does refresh rate play any factor?

Love these reviews!! I love how in depth you get. Something I would request is a bogged down test? Let the phone's sit for say 30 minutes after you perform the test, then retest them by going back to the previously opened apps and see how they open, lock screen unlock time, and how much the battery has drained. A little extensive but I think would emulate a more daily user :)

Not bad at all for the Pixel 5, given the processor. If gaming isn't a huge priority, this is a great processor! I think it just edges out the Pixel 2 with the SD835 in power.
To tell you the truth, man... I still got my OP6 and it's still going strong, like do I need a new phone? Not really, do I want a something new and fancy for a while? Yeah!
