Fun fact: Before WASD became the norm, for a long time many players used ESDF, ASDC, and IJKL.

Perks to having a steelseries keyboard:
-can assign different actuation to every key. All my keys are 0.1mm but my space bar is 0.8. Makes it almost impossible to fat finger your space bar when using a build on v, c, or x.

This reminds me of how protoss players in sc1 used to change their keybinds for hotkeys to 0, 9, and 8, since most of their buildings were on that side, which i think is really interesting how pros can adapt to different keybinds

Tried this for a while and it is SO based. I just got sick of moving my fingers back to typing position because I did a lot of game dev, and also having to change my keybinds for every new game I pick up is really annoying. Also some games still don’t even have full support for custom binds so you can’t always use it.

I use a side button on my mouse, so my right thumb controls edit, that way my thumb is always idle to edit, and it feels for natural because its on my mouse (which you obviously use to edit)

I've been playing on these binds for almost 2 months and I feel much better then on WASD. Although I haven't found my best binds yet, but still. In general, I wanted to say thank you for showing this method.

Yo, i had a similar issue so i decided to use the normal movement (WASD) and also V for left and B for right, by making that i can move freely while freebuilding and still have a goos movement while peeking or moving in endgames for example (using a and d)

Can we get a Keybind settings video @Reisshub? This short is very intriguing. I always thought about moving my hand over to the right because I have the same problem when I learning to play on KBM from Controller.

One of (in my opinion) the disadvantages to KBM. I don’t play Fortnight but I do play Warzone. For Warzone the default slide key is C, but if you use WASD it doesn’t allow you to slide right since your finger is off the D key. So to fix this I mapped the slide button to CTRL so I could finally slide right.
