If you want even more corn flavor, you can simmer/boil the core of the corn cob as well and then remove later. It's a common technique in Asian cooking for recipes like congee.

Dude...this isn't chowder, it's an orchestra. What a cornucopia of flavors, and the next day? Off the charts. Wonderful.

I will admit, a seeded and chopped poblano leapt right into that pot with the onions and garlic. Truly comfort food!

I absolutely LOVE Andrew Bernard’s narration! What I LOVE to hear him talk about most is preparation suggestions as well as recipe substitutions. And, his sense of humor is intelligent and often thought provoking. Last but not least, I LOVE to hear Mr. Bernard’s personal stories, especially those about his Jamaican family and heritage.

I made a pot of this for my lunches last week. It was fabulous. It was flavourful and tasty. I enjoyed it every day. The quantities here did for six days and that was a reasonable potion for me but i could see some people wanting more. I used frozen corn since this is what i had in and the taste was good. It kept well in the fridge. I will be making again.

YESSS!!!! I'm a year-round soup gal - actually eating homemade lentil soup for lunch (and it's 95 degrees outside!) while watching this!!! Also, as a native Baltimorean, OLD BAY Thanks for sharing - LOVE your recipes, your filming style, and your personality!!

Yes, Andrew! Loving the new format, and this soup looks delicious! I am originally from MD, so you are speaking my language when you bring Old Bay into the conversation! And we can even get it in my small SW Colorado town, so you should be able to find it just about anywhere in the U.S.

I saw some people say that they don’t like the new format.
The format doesn’t matter that much to me as long as the food delivers. And it always does😊

I’ll always watch as the recipes are so time, budget and family friendly.
I do like the new format it’s helpful to understand why I am adding something or alternatives if I don’t have them in the pantry as we go along.
Bit of a Masterclass 🤩

I just made this tonight, it is very good! I have always had this thing with soups and stews where I have to have lots of bread with it because of texture. But I am cutting down on bread now. Totally did not need bread with this, it's very filling and the texture has enough variety that I dont get put off.
It's warming and comforting as well. Thank you so much!

Love, love this recipe! I am making my grocery list. This whole pot costs less than one takeout meal❤
I also dig both video formats and like certain aspects of them both. Thanks for another winner
