Ljubljana is charming, well kept, also elevated, reflecting its past. However, I was so amazed by the chill of Piran: In summer, parents, or older guys just put their sun chairs in front of their house, children are running around, playing, swimming, teens are sunbathing and jumping into the sea and then return to do their homework for school. This town lives the best life!

As a Croatioan now living in Slovenia I agree - I lived in Germany and Austria and Slovenia Tops them all. I love my homeland Croatia but Slovenia is another planet for us. It's literally Switzerland in the east. Sadly in prices as well - the cost of real estates in Ljubljana is higher than in Vienna or Germany. B

Funny i met A LOT of US citizens moving here, for them living here is realeativelly still cheap...

The thing mixed with potatoes is not spinach but it's swiss chard. The berry sauce on top of meat is made of cranberries.

As an American, I strongly agree with your opinion of Slovenia. My family was there in September, and absolutely loved it. The people, culture, landscape, and food were fantastic. To all Slovenes reading this, thank you for allowing my family to visit your beautiful country ❤. You should be so proud !!!.
I like how you can drive a few hours and see water, mountains, cities, and wide open spaces. It takes me 7 hours just to get across my state in the US. I'll definitely be back. Any suggestions where to explore, I did the skydiving thing in Bovec, Awesome
