Can’t believe Hulu let this stay on YouTube. Thanks Hulu.

I’m a classically trained musician and have played thousands of gigs and traveled a million miles for music, but when I really take in the whole concept of Paul McCartney who is self taught, it just serves to remind me that there are some people who are touched with some kind of divine intervention and some who just are not. He’s a freak of nature. And to think that he found another one in a million freak of nature in his own town and got to create music with him, it’s just downright mind boggling and it’s the one thing about the Beatles that never ceases to amaze me. Peace!

For the first time, this is the real Paul McCartney. Unlike the dozens of repetitive interviews he does, this is two musicians chatting and enjoying each other's creativity. Paul quickly forgets he's being filmed and the unguarded, true personality and memories come flooding back. Thank you for sharing - magical stuff.

Paul just instantly coming up with a great sounding new melody over “While my Guitar….” is mind blowing. As a songwriter it’s just fascinating to see him come up with that out of nowhere

Paul takes his ability to spontaneously generate a vocal melody over a chord structure as no big deal, when it's damn near miraculous.

Paul's memory is equally as impressive as his musical prowess.

What a crying shame John and George are gone. As good as this is -- and this is pretty frickin' good -- imagine if all four Beatles were together in this room sharing their recollections and stories. Good gracious, would that ever be fascinating!

Paul McCartney demonstrates the chords in a scale. "And now you've got six, and you don't need more than that. And you can put permutations and you get songs." See how simple that is ...for someone with a genius intelligence quotient, who, without training, discovers the mathematics and artistry of music through observation and experimentation.

That bass tone on "While My Guitar ..." is freakin' gnarly

Honestly one of the best things I've ever seen on youtube. Blessed to have a life on Earth that overlapped Sir Paul.

'And Your Bird Can Sing' is absolutely stunning, and still is. OMG. And the harmonies - good Lord...

Been a fan since the Ed Sullivan show, which I watched in the front room of my grandparent's house in Roselle Park, NJ. The Beatles showed me there was a much bigger world out there than the child's world I'd been living in. The Beatles helped me to become my own self instead of being a reflection of my parents and grandparents, who I respected but were of a different generation. There's something about the way Paul has always presented himself -- the positive, upbeat tone of his voice regardless of what he's talking about -- that I've always admired. Musically, what more can be said? A genius is a genius. This was the best interview/conversation I've ever seen with Paul and I'm very thankful it was available here.

At 42:57 “Something I’m writing at the moment…I goofed it a bit” What?! Paul, that is an amazing riff! It’s beautiful! Please finish it. It puts a smile on our face from the get go. Great song. Thank you for making us feel for all these years. Be well :)

Maybe one of the best interviews of Paul ever. This is absolutely great, thank you.

OH. MY. GOD. This is amazing. Paul invents vocals over chords on the fly; Paul begins to remix “Back In The USSR” on the fly, for fun, and yet it sounds phenomenal; Paul decides to show a bit of a new tune he’s working on and it sounds like a hit; Paul begins singing a brand new song over the bass line for “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” and I want THAT song now.

Thank you for this,
It’s not too often this last 20 odd years that McCartney has talked about the music in such detail.
This will become an historic interview for future generations.
Hats off to Rick Rubin.
