MILLIONAIRE PRETENDED TO BE A JANITOR IN HIS OWN COMPANY AND WAS SHOCKED BY WHAT HE DISCOVERED...

Nathaniel Parker sat in the oversized leather chair of his father’s office, staring out at the city skyline through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The morning sunlight bathed the towering buildings in a golden glow, but Nathaniel felt no warmth. In fact, a cold, creeping unease had settled over him since the day the company became his. At just 28 years old, he was now the head of Parker Enterprises, the empire his father had built from the ground up. He should have felt pride, perhaps even invincibility. Instead, there was doubt.

The weight of responsibility didn’t scare him. He could handle the board meetings, the tough decisions, and the pressure from investors. What gnawed at him was something far more personal—trust. Who could he really rely on in this towering corporate machine? Who, among the many people working for him, was truly loyal? Nathaniel had always been cautious, but now, with everything at stake, he was hyperaware of how people acted around him. And the more he watched, the more he realized: everyone wore a mask. He remembered his father’s words from years ago: “Son, in business, trust is worth more than money. But don’t be fooled—loyalty can be bought, and it can be sold.”

His father had trusted certain people implicitly, and for a while, Nathaniel did too. Richard, the company’s director, had been his father’s closest ally for decades. And Martha, the ever-diligent secretary, had worked by his father’s side since he started the business. Nathaniel grew up seeing them as family, the trusted pillars holding up the company.
