Pre-Algebra Lesson #37 Operations with Mixed Numbers | Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, & Dividing

In this lesson, we will learn how to perform basic operations with mixed numbers. We will learn how to add mixed number, subtract mixed numbers, multiply mixed numbers, and divide mixed numbers. It is normally easier to add and subtract mixed numbers by first working with the fraction parts and then the whole number parts. When it comes to multiplying and dividing mixed numbers, it is usually easier to convert each into an improper fraction and then perform the operation. Once the answer is obtained, we can convert back into a mixed number if required.
