I think what happened is, when you speed swim you're one block high, and when you stop your two blocks high usually the game would check what block is above you so it either skipped the check or due to the glass being a invisible block (mobs can't spawn on) it just left you phase through

These bugs are the main reason I’ve stopped playing survival in mcpe
I only play on the hive and other servers now, because I’ve repeatedly lost progress in worlds, because the stuff i do keeps getting reset.
I built an entire house once and opened my world again just to see it gone💀
