Thank you Sir, that was very easy to follow, and your results are amazing!
I'm a 53yr old Grandad educating myself, ready for my 5yr old grandson coming this morning, and we're going to have fun carving our very first pumpkins together 🎃🔪🕯👻 here in North Yorkshire, England 🙏🙋🏻‍♂️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Most effective tip? Lemon juice and water spray..I finish with aquifer lotion to rub the peeled parts to prolong decay from happening.

A very nice video. I find however, that it's better to carve out the bottom of the pumpkin rather than the back. Cutting out a hole from the back can be seen (so it isn't seamless), and the backing for the hole, could fall through.

Instead of water and lemon juice, there's a product called "Fruit Fresh", which can be bought at a grocery store. It's a powder that you mix with water. Used to keep salads fresh etc. But, I tried on a car rd eggplant before, and it didn't start to oxidize for over 12 hours!

Also, for drawing lines on a pumpkin, the best tool I have found, is an "India Pencil".

Instead of an Exacto Blade, a couple of the best knives you can use, are either a Japanese Mukimono carving knife or a Thai style carving knife.

The linoleum cutter works, but there are actually a large number of carving tools that are easily purchasable online of various sizes and shapes. The linoleum cutter would be called a "V" cutter.

The arms were created by Ray Villafane and can be bought online.

Excellent work by the way sir!

Great job, but what I’m interested in is how you get the teeth sculpted and the eyeballs done and connect the parts to the pumpkin guy; you just fast-forwarded right past the best part lol. Can you post a follow-up video showing the detail? Please and thank you.

Excellent job, I learnt a lot watching this. I know now that I need some decent tools just to start, that's the number one key.

Thanks for the tips. I found the first 15 Minutes of the video very slow but easy to follow and then was very disappointed to realize that the very tricky technique of adding the potato eyes and teeth were sped up so fast. Also would be great to see all tools at the end and their names. Will check your other videos. Great pumpkin though. :)
