Here's why El Niño spells a relatively warm winter for the Pacific Northwest

During El Niño winters, we tend to get less snowfall in lower elevations, but snowfall can still build up high in the mountains. That's good news for southern Oregon, but the Willamette Valley probably won't see as much snow as it did the last few years.
