Been on the tracer for a few months, great pencil. It even works on a water covered surfaces.

I have used a Pica-Ink deep hole marker for a while now and I use it for everything, from deep hole marking to writing my son's name on his school clothes. Permanent ink and the long reach means it is great for labelling things too. I have moved away from OHP type pens. I think the reversible nib is just if you split one. I did and just turned it around and was up and running again. Seems to last forever too. Now, I do mainly do small mechanical and electronic projects which I think it is more suitable for rather than the rugged environment of the building site but, regardless, a great piece of kit! An impulse buy encouraged by Adam Savage but I use it all the time now and have one in my desk at home too! Now to try the propelling pencils from Pica and Tracer...

I've got the tracer one but there old name acer I love mine dunno how I when without one, I always recommended them to people, the pen one it's ok but the end gets black ink over it just annoying like how yours when its probably just me being picky

Tracer is crap, the green bit at the end springs out all the time and now lost mine and the things is now useless.
The marker pen dries up super quick to. Great when they work but rubbish design on the pencil. Will have to try the pica

Gonna try pica as trer sharoener is awful

They are ok as a tiler they get really dirty then break been through about 6 pencils over a year, they need to be more durable

Basically, they are evolved from draftsman pencils, which used 2mm diameter leads in “clutch pencils”
