Approach and Landing at Thomas Creek, ID - 2U8 - airstrip in the Idaho backcountry with a Super Stinson 108-2. *This is not a standard approach, I was low on final.*

Thomas Creek is a well maintained airstrip on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. If winds winds permit , land up-stream (Rwy 21) and takeoff down-stream (Rwy 03). Great area for camping and hiking with nice trees for shade (also about a 2 mile hike to the hot springs). Hazards include; rising terrain, density altitude, and canyon / mountain weather. Please proceed with caution and make sure the weather is on your side. Also, make sure your piloting skills are top notch prior to landing.

Nice video! That runway looks pretty decent - how do you think a Cherokee would do landing there? Any thoughts?
