S19 Map Your Assets

Показать описание
The objective of this presentation is to demonstrate the AgileAssets web-enabled platform, GIS Explorer.
GIS Explorer was developed out of a need for accessibility to mapping data that is stored in the AgileAssets core system. We rebuilt our in-house application by increasing the usability and performance of our mapping system, and took this opportunity to consolidate the mapping windows into one intuitive web mapping control.
The idea to modernize the software evolved into GIS Explorer. GIS Explorer is a platform that allows users to see data much like ArcGIS, but with data inside the system, external data, and rest services. It has the ability to visualize and render geo-spatial data from Oracle tables, Shapefiles, and Esri Rest Services. The road to create such a diverse platform came with challenges and learning curves, but the outcome has made substantial strides in the mapping industry. GIS Explorer is easily deployable, has specialized GIS layers, vector streaming, route and event visualization, and many other features modeled around client needs. GIS Explorer was developed as a collaboration between AgileAssets and Esri using Esri’s ArcGIS API to integrate Esri technologies with the AgileAssets platform. TXDOT was the first Department of Transportation to purchase GIS Explorer. Not only has it improved the collection process, but it also has revolutionized accessibility and data visualization.
The development and deployment of GIS Explorer will allow users and clients to render and visualize assets, events, and LRS in a one-stop-shop mapping application.
