In this video, Clément Marquaire shares his invention that truly makes creating seamless rings a breeze - The Ring Maker. If you find yourself frustrated by joining a ring, or finding the seam still visible or incomplete after firing, this tool is for you! Clément shows how easy it is to create a metal clay ring blank from The Ring Maker and how to precisely refine the blank to perfection. The Ring Maker is available in 6 shapes: Round, Octogon, Signet, Square, Stone and Triangle.

Note: The video shows The Ring Maker with Aureus™ Bright Bronze Clay, but any metal clay can be used with this product.

Clément visited Cool Tools from Belgium, and creates unique jewelry with designs inspired by Sacred geometry and Tibetan Mandala Art, through his brand Geometrically Stuck. He designs and produces metal clay tools through his brand CMMC Tools.

Oh how fun! Metal clay is next on my list to experiment! I already have the clay and a few tools I bought from you guys and I have a small kiln that I got for enameling last year (still new to enameling and still obsessed!). This product is on my wishlist for sure! Looks so satisfying! I love the signet shape. I learned wax carving a few years ago and absolutely loved it but I’ll never have all the equipment I need in house for that and frankly I’m too impatient to wait for my designs to come back from the casters 😂!

How do you know how many sizes to adjust depending on clay shrinkage ? Is there a guide enclosed regarding this for the common clay varieties ? Do you have to use a several sizes larger than the ring you ultimately want ? Please advise !

If you don't have a dehydrator, could you use a convection oven or a hair dryer into a box with a hole cut into it and a digital thermometer to make sure it doesn't get above 45°C/115°F?

Do you always need a kiln to fire the clay or is there a clay that we can use in that ring maker that won’t need to be fired? 💝🥰
