Bonnie has always believed that home cooking does more than just provide sustenance to our bodies, it also nourishes our souls and our society. These days, when home cooking is under attack from unnecessarily convenient alternatives and reality television shows that depict the kitchen as an arena for competitive sport, Bonnie has become a strong advocate for taking it easy in the kitchen and cooking simple, delicious food. In addition to teaching and writing about food, Bonnie hosts a unique book club where authors actually attend and dinner is included and she leads culinary tours to delicious destination. From 1973 to 2011 the Bonnie Stern Cooking School was of one of Canada’s best cooking schools. Bonnie is the recipient of the Premier’s Award. Now, as ever, Bonnie says “I love to cook and believe in the importance of home cooking and family meals.”

For over 40 years Bonnie Stern has been showing Canadians how to make cooking healthful, easy and fun through her twelve bestselling cookbooks, national television shows, weekly newspaper columns and cooking classes.

I love cooking and pretty much cook all our meals. We seldom eat out, have veggies of all kinds show up ever 2 weeks sight unseen and then need to figure out what some of it is and then how to use them. For me cooking is fun.

Bonnie has gone from a hotsie totsie cutie on radio in the early 80s to a slimmed down slightly shrivelling huge be speckled stereotypical Jewish lady with too much hair.
Yeah I know… I’m bad
