Brent Fischer (Clare's son) is an accomplished producer, composer, arranger, and band leader who has appeared on over 30 million CDs worldwide with pop, R&B, and jazz icons to include: Usher, Al Jarreau, Eric Benet, Prince, Michael Jackson, Sheila E, Elvis Costello + The Roots, and D’Angelo.
West Coast jazz was developed in Los Angeles and San Francisco during the 1950s. Clare Fischer and Cal Tjader are among the founders of this music that relies relatively more on composition and arrangement than on the individually improvised playing of other jazz styles.
