Range rover problem: probably TCU (transmission control unit), or TCM, however you call it. If the unit was in the water (which i'm sure it hasn't lol) that could be the problem. Cheers guys.

I had the exact same range rover with the exact same problem. Only difference is mine broke down in Austria!!! Got it back to the UK, there's belts in the gearbox which had melted. £1250 for it to be refurbished.

Saving salvage had a suspension problem I think on an Audi Q7 he fixed it cheap, have a look might help

Regarding Rangie, do the gear lights on the dash show the same as the gear lever lights eg, when in drive D is lit up on gear lever and D is shown on dash? Mine lost drive but the give away was lever showed correct gear but not dash… turned out linkage underneath had corroded and broken, £200 later all good.

The J2Z Silvia was how I found your channel but this was always my favourite car. I’m Honda through and though but this made me fancy one. The fact this car has been looked after and there is video proof should have people wanting it a lot more. Most of the raffle cars you assume might have had a harder life.

Morning boys another cracking video from you. For what it's worth I've got exactly the same RR as yours 05 plate same engine. Same thing happened to me last summer reference gearbox/Transfail safe message. I disconnected the battery for 12hrs, fired it up put straight in manual/sport mode drove off no problems then after 5 mins switch it back over to auto. Then got a LR specialist to service the gearbox and its been fine ever since. Might be lucky but worth ago.
Right off to get some tickets.
