It's at times like These when I know I will always love being British even if our government is going to crap.

For context the name dogger bank comes from a type of two masted boat with one larger and one smaller sail used for cod fishing in the North Sea and especially Dogger Bank which was famous for its rich cod stocks.

I'm one of those who is too rigid and can't dance, but I wish I was capable just so I could do a jolly jig to this incredible song!

This song was featured in this episode, "Sailor Mouth" in the title card, as heard from the TV series, SpongeBob SquarePants. Is that it?

I love the acordion. I don't know for sure, but I would guess it is used so frequently in sailors' music because it is much easier to bring an acordion on a ship than a piano.

And if you’re going to talk like sailors, then you’re going to sing like sailors

this makes me wonder, theres a song called "The Shanty Boys, " which is an old song from Maine which uses the same tune, I wonder which used the tune first or if they both took the tune from another older song

Everything was fine until the Russian Baltic Fleet appeared, the menace of English fishing vessels.

Nobody mentioning the Grimsby Town Football club. The mighty mariners as noted in the vidio.
Grimsby now is not the same of course. The soul of the town gone and full of wasters and worse

I think the proper lyrics would be "Great Grimsby"as it the ports proper name....
