It's difficult to watch many bands reunite -- as they cannot possibly recreate their original magic...
This band seems to be just getting started... They are genuinely sounding heavier -- than in the 60s..
More genuine electricity and magic -- than most anything I've seen in the past 40 years..

just saw this lineup. fucking great. Evan is a great guitarist. Jake as well on keys. Can't believe how good those guys can still sing.

Barely the Sonics ... the only original is the Sax Player . The Bass Player/Vocalist is from The Kingsmen & the rest ? The recent reformation had everybody except the bass & drums . Dustin ? the drummer is great ... I think this has something to do with the travel/specific event in Iceland ... just a unique one off situation ? ... their latest 2 EP & an album are fantastic & is the Complete Band & i did see them in Toronto 2 years ago ... so again, i think this is just an oddity
