Despicable Me 3 or Despicable Me 4: Which one's better? Let’s break it down. Villains: In Despicable Me 3, we have Balthazar Bratt, while Despicable Me 4 features Maxime Le Mal. Personally, I think Balthazar Bratt has a more memorable presence. Maxime just doesn’t have that same impact. The storyline in Despicable Me 3 is decent, but it didn’t fully grab me, though the part where a minion reminisces about Gru almost made me tear up. On the other hand, Despicable Me 4 has a well-crafted storyline, especially the scene where Agnes reunites with her goat—it’s pretty emotional. The ending of Despicable Me 3 didn’t really hit me, but Despicable Me 4 has an epic finale, bringing back all the old villains. Songs: Despicable Me 3 has Michael Jackson's "Bad," while Despicable Me 4 features Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World." I love MJ’s "Bad," so I’d lean toward Despicable Me 3 for the music, but Despicable Me 4 still wins overall—it just has that something special. What do you think?

I feel like 3 was better, the Brat had a real motive rather than being embarrassed, and had an actual plan that would effect a whole city, rather than just gru.

I'm of the opinion that 3 is better than 4 for the sole reason of Gru and Lucy being simply unwatchable in 4. While 3 started to show some decline, those two are simply not the same confident, capable, and generally badass characters that they used to be. Went from taking down an army of indestructible purple minions to being bossed around by teenage girls and middle aged ladies.

Despicable me 4 does not have a well crafted story line, it’s like multiple different short films put into a movie.

Brat actually had a plan of revenge to take over Hollywood whereas the one in the 4th one just wants Gru’s son for some reason. Brat actually has a reason for revenge, also, which is why it is better

Just watched today DESPICABLE ME 4 I can say in my opinion it is the weakest sequel of the franchise

But the only thing is that Doctor nefario got himself freezes in carbonate in despicable me 3 while he’s not in despicable me 4.
