You can support my channel leaving a super thank if this video was helpful for you. Thanks!!!

The objective of this video tutorial is to show you step by step How To carry out an FEM Simulation of an hyperelastic soft material pneumatic actuator (PneuNet) to predict and analyze its static bending behaviour when pressurized. These type of pneumatic networks have been introduced lately as soft robotic actuators. In the soft robotics research field, design, manufacture, simulation and control of such actuators is intensively being investigated.

Excellent work! Thanks so much for sharing. Half the battle for me is understanding the nuances of ABAQUS, which you have explained so well.

Its really great! Keep posting such videos... it was really informative and enjoyable as well. Thanks for this wonderful tutorial... Will definitely contact you on research gate for some queries i may face during my simulations. Thanks again :)

Saludos!

Hi Jorge, thank you for making this useful tutorial. Is there any video such this for simulating fiber reinforced actuator with Abaqus or Ansys?

Thanks a lot for the video.
The part explodes during the analyses. As a result, we cannot see the bending in the part in the same way.

thanks jorge for all your efforts to share knowledge, i wanna ask you where I can find those material properties ? or if you can suggest me some database of pneumatic or polymers materials that we can use as actuators ? thanks again

Hello, Thank you for the tutorial. But I couldn't get the STEP input file. Can you please update the link or give it me anyway?

Sir seem like you forgot to select top inner wall of the chambers in "create ad assign surfaces" step. Does it affect the analysis result?
Btw, I have a question. When I search on Google and Youtube, there is no one employing FEA for the SPA by Solidworks Simulation, just ABAQUS and ANSYS. Why? Is Solidworks Simulation not able to do that or is there any reason else?

Great video and effort you make right there for all undergraduate students like me. I really appreciate your works and hope this video can reach a lot more people. Have a nice day sir!

Hello Jorge thank you for this fruitful explanation of soft actuator, i wanna ask you about the possibility to do or to model such kind of actuators with SMP (shape memory polymers ) but with COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS software ?

Hello Jorge, I have followed your tutorial, but when I submitted my simulation, Abaqus said the "Air Press" loads reference regions that are not associated with a mesh. May I ask for your help what will be the possible error I made? Thanks.

thankyou for the tutorial sir...
can you tell me....in the result section-what are the units of pressure, stress, and deformation?
As i am unable to identify the unit of density-1.049e-09 unit??

Great video :) Is there a way to measure how much pressure exists inside the actuator at any given point during the simulation?

hello sir, I would like to say thankyou for your video.
i have a little problem with my simulation.
when the direction of airpress come from outside to inside.
not inside to outside.
do you know how to change the direction of airpress ?
or if you have free time, could you help me ?
Thanks a lot
