My brother fell to his death in 2016 at age 25. He loved Creed and he was a good man. He worked hard at a job repairing towers and that job didn't protect him. I listen to this song often. I miss you Daniel and I know you're free now ❤

If Creed has no fans, it means that I am dead

I used to think this song was for 40 year old dads who think they’re deep. Now I’m 40, and a dad and I feel deep. I was right all along

I don’t care what anyone says, Creed just made banger after banger when they were an active band. Glad they’re reuniting in 2024!

“One Last Breath” (2001) is about a man who thinks his life is over. However, with his last breath, he’s trying to hold on to life and the things he loves about it. Going absolutely nowhere in his life, he’s trying to escape. Later in the tune, his outlook gets darker (“I’m looking down now that it’s over”), and he’s reflecting on the mistakes he made and crying out to heaven for help. In the last part, he has found the strength to go on (“‘Cause I still believe there’s something left for me”), and though he’s down to his last breath, he still believes that his life will get better.

Creed guitarist and composer Mark Tremonti claimed : “‘One Last Breath’ is one of my favorite guitar lines, so it’s one of my favorite musical compositions […]. It […] turned out to be one of our biggest songs […].”

The video, directed by Dave Meyers, features some fancy compositing, putting Creed in a fantastical landscape of cliffs and ruins. ONE CLEVER VISUAL METAPHOR‼️ 💚🎶💜

I cry like everytime I hear this song. Reminds me of my nephew who passed from cancer at 17. He didn't like this kinda music but I'll forever dedicate this song to him.

Please come now, I think I'm falling
I'm holding on to all I think is safe
It seems I found the road to nowhere
And I'm trying to escape
I yelled back when I heard thunder (thunder)
But I'm down to one last breath
And with it, let me say, let me say
Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down
I'm looking down now that it's over
Reflecting on all of my mistakes
I thought I found the road to somewhere
Somewhere in His grace
I cried out, "Heaven, save me" (save me)
But I'm down to one last breath
And with it, let me say, let me say
Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down
Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down
I'm so far down
Sad eyes follow me
But I still believe there's something left for me
So please come stay with me
'Cause I still believe there's something left for you and me
For you and me, for you and me
Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking (thinking)
Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down
Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down
Please come now, I think I'm falling
I'm holding on to all I think is safe

I know Creed is not a Christian band, but as a Christian, I love how they have christian-themed songs

My brother has always loved this song since he was a kid at age 12 or 13 years. He's now 35, and I'm 33. In recent years this song has grown on me.... much appreciated Creed. 😊

For whatever reason my 10th? Grade English teacher played this song and wanted us to dissect the lyrics. A lot of the kids were like what is this lol. I liked it, the guitar at the beginning is really nice

Creed always ruled. I was young when their music hit the scene. We all knew the lyrics. Now im 34 and the songs still rule.
