"Caroline" by Status Quo was written by Francis Rossi and Bob Young.The song was conceived during a break in their tour bus journey in 1971, while they were staying in a hotel in Perranporth, Cornwall, England. Young laid down the melody and riff on a napkin, and Rossi later added the intro and main melody. The song was finished quickly and was featured on their album "Ain't No Rock 'n' Roll Hero."

About this Quo lineup

Rick was undoubtedly the best rhythm guitarist in the universe, Francis was and is a very underrated guitar player and deserves much more recognition than he’s had, rhino is a very good bass player and great all round musician, Leon, is a superb drummer and Andy is an outstanding musician and probably one of the most talented musicians in the business. Don’t think there’s anything he CANT play.
