I decided to buy a few blu-rays during Criterion's flash sale this month. Probably not the best deal on them, but what the hell.

I actually prefer buying Criterions from their website. I do tend to buy more when B&N sales happen, though. With Criterion's website you get free shipping if you spend $50, you get loyalty points- which is 1 point for every dollar you spend and a $50 gift certificate when you get 500 points (at least it's something)- and Criterion is much better about returns or possibly damaged items. I don't always have the greatest experiences with B&N which I also know is a reason. And, of course, I like buying directly from the company I'm supporting.
Anyway, i didn't get anything from this flash sale, but I've seen both the films you got. I have Repulsion and watch it every October; I guess it's become a sort of tradition. I think it's a great one to revisit because there is always something I don't remember clearly from the previous viewing or something I didn't notice before. And I love Catherine Deneuve, who is the main actress in it. She's one of my favorite actresses! Blow Up is also great, but it's a bit slow in my opinion and I'm used to Antonioni's Italian films. It has elements that I really like, though, despite the pacing. There's also a loose remake of it called Blow Out (1981), which is also on Criterion. I'm not sure if it's really considered a "remake" but I don't know what else to call it.
