The fungus doesn’t take over the brain at all which means what aver the ant does she does fully concise with no ability to stop it.
She is basically trapped in here own body as the fungus forces her to do whatever it wants her to.

Ants themselves found a *bug* in which they remove the infected ants by throwing them away. The ones that throw the infected ants away press the reset button to the respawn in a safer, and fungi-free colony. Ants really are their own developers.
