Quietus: Never thought I'd be discussing my late mother in terms of Warcraft warlock play, but here we are. It was one of her favorite words. "He put the quietus on that, " etc., for context. First, pronouncing it -- it rhymes with hiatus. Phonetically it's qweye-AY-tus. What it means, is to either silence or end something. Or kill it. So if you "put the quietus on" something, you bring it to an end, silencing it and typically, killing it. Very warlock, no?
