How To Full Factory RESET Tenda Nova MW3 WiFi MESH Router

If you need to reset or full factory reset your Tenda Nova MW3 3 Pack or any of the other models in this range it is really easy to do when you know how!

First make sure all the units in the MESH are powered up and near to each other (closer the better)
Next find your PRIMARY NODE, this is the first device you setup on the Tenda APP.
Use a pin or Mikesunboxing pen to press the reset button on the rear of the unit for a 6 second count then release.

If you are not sure which one it is you can press the reset button for 6 seconds and only the primary node will change to a rapid flashing green LED.

So when the PRIMARY NODE is in the reset mode and If the other units are in range they will also receive a factory reset command and then just wait until the units all have a solid red/amber.

You can check to see if the MESH is reset if the Original factory setting SSID shown on the base of the MW3 is broadcasting on the WIFI settings on your mobile device.

Thanks for the vid. I would also suggest clearing the cache/storage of the tenda app. Mine (on android) was sticking to the old settings, but resetting the app finally did the trick.

Hi Mike. Im thinking of getting a Tenda Nova M12 set. Question is do the nodes have to be plugged directly into a wall socket or can they be permanently plugged into an extension lead. Enjoyed your videos on the Tenda Novas and being a bit of a technophobe its given me the confidence to buy and set up a mesh system.

Thank you very much for the video! Will the primary unit be the only one shown as connected in the preferences of the router with its MAC address or should all three units be seen as connected for them to be properly connected to the main wifi/ network of the router?

Hi Mike . I had these and returned them . The lan port from the router/modem is only 100mb but the advertised them as gigabit . Have you found similar problems?

Hey I did the reset but they all went back to steady green? Have they been reset? They are still working with my wifi network, I was resetting as they don't work well, not to resell etc.

Hi Mike, after reset the secondary node, light turned red, then do we just wait till its connected to the primary node? will the light turn green after connected to the primary node?

IF i have one cube only and connect it the first time with the router via cable i will able then to pull of the cable and the cube works ONLY with power connected to wifi of router?more detail after i established the connection to the router and the cube, the cube standalone WITHOUT cable.THANKS

Hi Mike! I’ve got the MW6 - recently faced a problem so tried to reset all my routers. One of them will not reset properly - when I hold the reset button, the light goes from light blue back to dark blue without ever going to white. I am not able to find any solutions online. Have you faced or heard of this problem?
