PlayStation Vita Slim Unboxing + First Impressions!

Today, I give my first impressions on the PlayStation Vita! We take a look at what things come inside the box, and how it fairs compared to the original 1000 model.

Out of all of the Japanese imported slim vita videos I've watched, you told needed to know about the Japanese imported version. I've seen so many videos not saying ANYTHING about the damn buttons being swapped. I just recently found out about it and you're the first I've seen that shows that you can actually CHANGE that. I figured it would be something permanent with the Japanese imported version. I've even seen people in comment sections that "mention" the button swap but never even emphasized that you could change that. You get a like and a sub from me, THANK YOU!!! I feel way more comfortable getting the aqua blue Japanese import one now!!! Very helpful!!!

Notice: *The new update of the Vita, you can go to settings, accessibility, then look for "Buttons" or whatever u don't have a Vita, then scroll down until you find X and O then swap them, tap apple then boom, done.*

The Vita is very much still alive and not dead, you wont find any triple A games in North America coming out anymore on it, but games are still coming out from Japan and being localized. I have 60 physical copy games in my collection, and waiting for more releases well into 2018. Its a great system, and the games are becoming more and more rare, so it is up the alley of Collectors as well.

I've always wanted one too and finally ordered mine! I'm a bit sad that I couldn't get the white one but I hope I'll get over it.. Your's is super beautiful just like your voice.

In Japan the O and X as "yes" and "no" (or "accepted"/"rejected", "correct"/"incorrect") is pretty well established. Additionally, many games on previous systems like the SNES used the right most of the four face buttons for selecting and the bottom button for cancelling.

I agree, it was definitely a little weird. I haven't looked into it myself. Maybe you're right and it was a refurbished one. Either way, since I've made this video I've had no problems with it whatsoever. So, I'm not too bugged by it.

Don't forget!! You can't just charge it with any charging brick. The PS Vita has a specific voltage charge, you can read it on the back of the PS Vitas' charging brick. You can still use other charging bricks, if the voltage is too low on one brick, the PS Vita will not charge as quickly, also if there is a brick that has too high of voltage you could also damage your battery and put more wear and tear on it. When it comes to charging devices the voltage has to be precise, in order to maintain your batteries intended lifespan. I mean people can charge their purchased devices however they want to, but I'm just speaking facts.

just ordered a red one on eBay. only got it cause it was super cheap but I'm hyping myself up by watching all these unboxings and reviews. I wish they reduced the price of their memory cards, or better yet someone made an SD adapter for it like they did with the PSP. anyways nice vid.

I like the PS Vita Slim because there is a special controller grip add-on for the Vita Slim from Hori. You can look it up. Look up this YouTuber named NihongoGamer and he reviews the Vita Slim's controller grip add-on. It's really neat!

Beautiful Vita man! I too recently got my Vita and this color was one of my top choices at first, but I ended up getting the aqua blue one in almost new condition (fortunately). Anyway, hope you're enjoying it! By the way, there's like a sale going on PSN and I would recommend you getting Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Star Wars Battlefront 2 or Elite Squadron for PSP to play on your new Vita.

Hey thanks for the awesome video. I just got my silver PSV today and love it, better than black lol ! One tiny thing I notice: when you put the game card in, the cartridge slot flap won't fully closed. After used a few time the edge of the flap does not fit into the body anymore. A small opening appears at the edge, making the top side of Vita not as smooth as the beginning. That flap just kind of bugs me anyway because I have OCD lol. Nothing serious. I want to know if you have similar issue.

I was just wondering are the ps vita 2000 brand new from play Asia? Also nice vid i had a psp a few years ago and I Loved it and now it's 2018 - _- I want a ps vita. I didn't know to much about the ps vita untill I watched your vid <3 so thank you for sharing your knowledge :3

nice buy, I bought the oled version instead when I was in Japan :-) the screen is like the one on the Samsung galaxy phones, its the best screen I have in my home xD but yours are lighter and has longer battery life so yea again good buy ;-)
